by Charles Davis

Las Vegas is rapidly becoming known as the best location for a top class golfing vacation. Along with its other attractions, Las Vegas offers 40 top quality golf courses to choose from. Anyone serious about golfing must consider booking their next golfing trip here.

To start with we have the Bali Hai golf course. The only golf course in Las Vegas located on the famous Las Vegas strip. This course is the choice of many celebrities and high rollers due to it's proximity to the strip. This tropical themed course offers 7,000 yards of pristine golf with palm trees lining the fairways and spectacular views of the strip.

Consider also Bear's Best golf club, designed by the one and only Jack Nicklaus. This course features holes modeled after the very best holes from the 200 golf courses Nicklaus has designed all around the world, including many PGA courses. Offering a variety of tee placements, this course will bring a fun challenge to both the golfing novice and expert. Bear's Best is often the first stop on a Las Vegas golfer's itinerary.

The Angel Park golf club deems itself "the World's most complete golf experience," and it's easy to see why. Arnold Palmer designed this course, which features not only two 18 hole championship courses and a par 3 course, but a golfing academy as well. Here, novice golfers are given the opportunity to hone their skills before hitting the green.

If you're after something a bit different, why not try the Royal Links golf club. Offering 18 links holes taken from the British Open courses, this course will allow you to experience golf as it was back in the early days of the sport with a unique golf experience. Players can play the famous holes from St. Andrews including the world famous Road Hole. Even the clubhouse is a castle for that tradtional golfing experience.

If you're looking for a visual treat, look no further than Reflection Bay golf club. Situated on Lake Las Vegas, this golf course combines the stunning scenery with top class golf. The course is designed around the natural contours of Lake Las Vegas and includes well placed bunkers, perfect picturesque greens and even a handful of waterfalls. Truly a must visit course on anyones las vegas golf vacations.

Of course, your trip wouldn't be the same without a real challenge, and the Arroyo Golf Club at Red Rock is sure to give you one. This reputable location is known as one of the premier luxury courses in Vegas and combines a challenging course with breathtaking scenery.

Badlands Golf Club is another course that offers a beautiful site along with a challenge, but Badlands is located in the heart of Vegas. Created in the canyons of Red Rock, you will get to experience Nevadan landscape and terrain while having your golfing skills tested with each and every hole.

How To Master The Mental Game Of Golf

by Mick Euan Tait

You have probably read a lot of information about what you need to do to take your golf game to the next level. Most likely you have been swayed by adverts and bought the latest and greatest golf driver or balls. But have you seen any significant improvement?

If you still believe all the advertising myths from the big golf equipment companies, then it is time to listen up. An all round good golf game is much more than having a good golf swing or owning the latest and greatest titanium driver.

Yes, there are certain golf swing guides that can help you with your swing and there are a few golf training aids that can fix an annoying swing fault. I have written, reviewed and recommended a few of these products on my blog. But there is a missing ingredient that you need to know about - the mental game of golf.

First, to dispel the myths that a great golf game can be bought, let's take a look at some facts:

25% of golfers back in the 1970's managed to break 90 and a smaller number could post scores in the 70's. 30 years have passed and we can now use over-sized drivers with larger and more forgiving sweet spots, wide sole and cavity back irons, and golf balls with 4 piece construction. So, how many golfers can today break 90? Well, from 25%, we have gone all the way up to 28%!

Having spent well over 90 billion dollars on development and advertising, the golf equipment industry should be pleased to know that there has been an enormous increase of 3% of golfers that can now break 90! You also have to add to those billions the vast investment made by golf training aids manufacturers and by the golf instruction industry.

It is time to tell you of the missing ingredient that will promote the quickest and the most permanent change to any golfer's game. It is the mental game of golf, sometimes known as the inner game of golf that is the vital key to advancement. Amusingly, it is the one area of golf development which doesn't cost a cent to implement, yet hardly any golfer uses it.

The mental game is using your brain in a calculated, focused and methodical manner and is the surest method to golf improvement and lower scores. It is in fact a large subject and to understand the mental game of golf you need to gain knowledge of things like:

-Confidence in yourself and your game

-Confidence in yourself and your game

-Controlling your attention

-Finding your game and playing within it

-Curing golf nerves and anxiety

-Eliminating anger from your game

-Eliminate anger from your game

You should by now be thinking about using the mental game of golf in your game; if you understand the significance of it. The top 5% of golfers understand and use the inner game of golf and that is what separates them from us. These top players know all about how to enter the "Zone" by using advanced visualization techniques that improve every area of their game, powerful goal setting processes, and mental imagery processes.

Golf is a complex game and there are many areas that you need to perfect. You need to work on your golf swing technique, use the right (not the most expensive) golf equipment for your game, and maybe even work on golf fitness training. But to really take your game to the next level and shoot lower scores you need to master the mental game of golf.

Golf Club Covers: It’s just Weird

by Paul J James

When someone refers to golf club covers they are referring to the sock like covers put on the longer golf clubs known as woods. However the notion of golf club covers can also extend to the rest of the bag of clubs as the idea of iron covers is also becoming quite popular. The golf club covers do a lot for your golf club. They protect your club in the rain and damp weather. If you lay your bag down in freshly cut grass the golf club covers will make sure the grass doesn't cover your clubs.

The golf club covers also protect your clubs from each other as golf clubs can become damaged by banging around into each other while in your bag. It used to be that golf club covers were very basic items that looked like socks and had on them the number of the club that was being covered. A very expensive set of golf club covers would look not unlike a very basic set and they usually served the same purpose. After a while golfers started to express their personality through their golf club covers and whole new industry was born.

It has been going on for a while now. Your big burly friend from work would put a gorilla golf club cover on his driver because he felt that he projected a lot of power with his driver. Sometimes the covers would come in sets of what looked like puppets and they would have entire families of covers to use on clubs that would express a little personality in an otherwise solemn game. Then, not too long ago, someone came along that changed everything and caused a boom in the sales of covers all over the world. That person was Tiger Woods.

Tiger and His Boy Frank

Tiger Woods burst onto the golf scene as an amateur and a golfer had not been so anticipated since Jack Nicklaus. It did not take long for people to start to notice that the golf club cover covering Tiger's driver was a tiger. Soon the sales of tiger driver covers took off and people all over the world were sporting their Tiger Woods' driver cover and adding a bit of color and fun to the exploits on the golf course. Then we learned that the cover had a name and could talk.

Tiger Woods' driver cover is named Frank and thanks to a series of television commercials a couple of years ago everyone got to watch Frank talk and give Tiger advice. It was all in good fun and the result was a thriving industry that has grown up around creating new golf club covers and maybe even finding the next Frank.

Improve Your Golf Game Skills And Scores With Just Little Effort

by Joe Blow

Mortified about the count of turns you need just to whack the ball? Discover yourself falling short to get the proper twist in the air once the ball flies away? Scared of passing up a tap-in that other team members are sure to regard a "gimme?"

Believe it or not, you can considerably improve your game in golf by just obeying a few tips that focus to rectify the way you look at the sport.

Golf, as a lot may say, is more of an interest for the brain instead of a test for the body. Every swing, every stroke, and every putt will not stem from the ankle nor the hip nor the wrist. Every motion you will carry out in a game of golf will stem from your brain.

Here are a few tips that can improve your golfing aptitude, and as a result , gravely improve your game.

Believe. This is the primary, and likely the most vital, guide I can impart with you. Believe that you can hit the ball, and believe that you can hit the ball the immediately. Great golfers share one thing in common: their assertion in their game. Picture Jack Nicklaus mistrusting himself each time his ball touches the bunker. The commended "Golden Bear" wouldn't have succeeded 18 majors all through his career if he did. Believing that you can is most critical at that moment right before you knock the ball. Any manner of distrust, any manner of faltering, any manner of worry, will affect your nerves and bargain your action. Golf is such a sport that is responsive to the smallest amount of movement, hence, disbeliefs, uncertainties and worries should be eliminated during those dangerous moments spent preparing to swing your iron.

Find your practice. Observe the best participants now. Some of them will do a twist before a putt. Some of them will perform rehearsal swings before beating the ball. Some of them will even blow a kiss to the spectator. Think these are just efforts to make them look composed? Think again. The truth is, these are routines that are meant to send the proper quantity of electrical charge to the muscles. 90% of a game of golf consists of you and a fixed ball. You will need these routines to keep your muscles, and your tempo, elevated throughout the period of the game.
