How To treat Thrush - Drug Free

by Petra Spink

Thrush, yeast infection or candidiasis - call it what you like it's the same thing and is a problem for millions of women every year. When a totally natural fungus which is present in the body excessively grows it turns to thrush (this is most commonly associated with women). Pain, irritation, itchyness and a cottage cheese like discharge is not uncommon to sufferers of thrush.

Over three quarters of the human population have the natural fungus - candida albicans - in their bodies along with countless others. The develpoment of thrush from this natural fungus is not exclusive to the vagina but can also be present in stomach, mouth and colon. When there is no abundance of this natural fungus there is no threat at all to the human body.

Despite yeast infections / thrush being associated with the female genital area, it can also be found in the genital area of men. Both sexes can originate the infection and both can transmit it also. The thinking that men can catch thrush from women only is a myth.

Thrush is not a serious problem but if left untreated it can cause major discomfort. In some instances, thrush can also lead to a much serious condition. This is why anyone who thinks that they are suffering from thrush must immediately seek medical advice. Thrush, must never be ignored.

Infections need to be treated. Most infections relating to the vagina if left untreated can only worsen your problem. Symptoms such as irritation and inflammation can spread to the buttocks. Vaginal infections can cause severe pain when passing urine and can make intercourse very painful. It is advised not to engage in intercourse if you have thrush in case you spread the infection.

The medication that your doctor can prescribe can have severe side effects such as nausea, diarrhoea, and dizziness. Contraception that you may use can also be damaged as creams used to treat thrush can corrode the rubber of condoms and diaphragms.

You can take measures to stop thrush occurring in the first place. This strategy must be approached with caution as a certain amount of yeast is naturally required for a healthy vagina in the first place. Trying to second guess how much you have in your body is a little risky for some. Plus, if you already have thrush then preventative measures are a little late in the day and a cure is required.

You can prevent thrush in the first place by looking at your sugar intake for example. It is difficult (to say the least) to calculate how much natural yeast you already have (required for a healthy vagina). If you are already suffering from thrush it would be best to seek an effective, pain free treatment for it.

Migraine Help - Does Hypnosis Really Work?

by Fleur Moir-Jones

Evidence has shown hypnosis works to control pain. What has been learned through scientific studies and research is the effectiveness of hypnosis depends upon the type of pain. Hypnosis works better when dealing with acute pain like that of migraine headaches.

Anxiety relief and reducing the prominence of pain are best served by hypnosis. In a nutshell, if you can believe that the pain is an irrelevance and does not control your thoughts and feelings then you can live your life and not be burdened with illnesses and ailments. The medical fraternity have concluded migraine hypnosis can do just that.

Hypnosis is unquestionably a success as a pain reduction weapon. This has been scientifically proven in a wealth of studies over the years. It must be stated however that hypnosis is not a magic cure. Migraine hypnosis will have no effect if (in the worst case scenario) a serious disease (eg a tumor) is causing your migraines. Hypnosis is a highly effective treatment and would, in such an event, compliment effectively any additional treatments with no side effects.

It makes sense that the best way to get rid of the pain of a migraine is by curing the migraine, but as far as I know, there is no surgery available or medication available to cure these debilitating headaches. There is only treatment of the symptoms and the hopes that it will go away.

Some scientific journals have printed articles that suggest hypnosis is one of the most misunderstood treatments for pain management. While it is generally understood that hypnosis works in pain management, it is not fully understood how. It is believed that the power of suggestion is strong enough under hypnosis that you can ignore and conquer pain. You can also learn to shift the pain outward rather than internalize it so that it becomes easier to cope with.

Hypnosis can be applied to a huge list of ailments - not just migraine headaches. Unlike using certain prescription medications, there are no side effects when using hypnosis.

Pain medication prescribed for migraines can lead people to feel even worse. The pain may be managed through medication, but the medication can leave you feeling dizzy, nauseated, cause lack of sleep and irritability. These are things you experience with migraines anyway and while the pain can be crippling, so can your lack of sanity from loss of sleep.

Hypnosis is an option to seriously look at if you have tried pain medications and reacted poorly to them.

Do not despair if you feel that nothing has worked for your migraine condition. Migraine hypnosis has helped thousands of sufferers as a welcome alternative to prescribed drugs. As with any treatment you are advised to learn more on this subject before entering into any treatment. Always be lead by a professional in their field.

For a highly effective and proven method in fighting migraine chose hypnosis. By learning hypnosis you can rest easy in the knowledge that when the next migraine arrives YOU can dictate the outcome.

Can Self Hypnosis Really Benefit Your Health?

by Fleur Moir-Jones

Hypnosis has been around for a very long time. A lot of people have seen hypnotists on TV or at the fair. Hypnosis used in these ways is generally fun and it is always enjoyable to watch your friend quack like a duck every time the hypnotist says, "Hello".

Hypnosis has its place in entertainment. It has also been gaining ground in the medical community and there is much documented evidence for the possibility of hypnosis being used for better general health. This is due to hypnosis remedies becomes more widespread.

Hypnosis is dependent upon the person's willingness. It is a state of focused awareness and heightened suggestibility. If a person needs an extra push to maintain a healthier lifestyle, hypnosis may be the way to go.

There are many ways hypnosis can help a person increase their health. Suggestions can be made that allow a person to ignore junk foods for snacks and reach for fruits or vegetables instead. Imagine the impact of eating a handful of carrots every time you want a snack instead of reaching for a cupcake or candy bar.

All sorts of negative desires can be replaced with positive ones through hypnosis - a fresh fruit or vegetable smoothie instead of a fizzy soda or nutritious nuts and seeds instead of chocolate perhaps. The possibilties are endless.

It must be said that hypnosis is not a magic solution to all ills. It wont force you to do things you wouldn't normally do yourself. An enthusiastic frame of mind is required. If you have a strong desire to quit smoking a hypnotic suggestion that each cigarette tastes disgusting (like a bar of soap for example) can greatly help in your quest for a nicotine free lifestyle resulting in better health.

There are a great number of areas that hypnosis can improve people's health. These include fields such as increasing self confidence and feeling more positive towards serious medical situations. Examples include lowering post treatment pain in burn injuries, speeding up recovery from surgery and control of pain and anxiety during childbirth. Studies carried out by the medical fraternity have proven that hypnosis helps in many more medical situations.

A huge amount of mental health specialists are now turning to hypnosis for effective treatments for the likes of post traumatic stress. Medics are embracing this treatment for physical problems also such as the treatment of fibromyalgia.

Hypnosis remedies are not cure-alls. Hypnosis will not make cancer disappear or leave you waking up each morning with a completely different outlook on life. It will not cure what ails you. However, hypnosis is becoming accepted in the medical community as a way to help treat patients and help increase health.

Hypnosis really can improve a great many physical and psychological conditions. It is of great importance that people fully understand the process of this alternative therapy (as with all alternative therapies) before choosing to experience it. Use established techniques by a qualified practitioner or ask your doctor for advice.
