Different Ways to Treat Wrinkles

by Kyle Richey

The good news is that today there are plenty of available choices if you want to treat wrinkles. Not many people, if any, are happy to let themselves age naturally. Most people want to improve the texture, tone and appearance of their skin. And of course to eliminate wrinkles too!

Browse the aisles of any pharmacy or beauty supply store and you'll find probably hundreds of products that you can use as a wrinkle treatment, and of course there are even surgical procedures such as facelifts or Botox injections.

There are a good many creams out there in stores that are designed to cure the wrinkles by adding moisture into the skin and work deep down. Once the skin has dried out it is more susceptible to wrinkles and that is the point of these creams, to moisturize, sooth, and soften.

Don't jump for joy too soon because there is bad news too. As we grow older, we are exposed to more elements around us which rob our skin of its natural moisture. A good wrinkle treatment penetrates the skin and moisturizes it through several layers.

Something else you can do if you are worried about wrinkles is to get a treatment at a spa or salon. There are usually facial remedies and face masks which have the same job " to get moisture to the layers of skin below the surface. These treatments help to firm out the lines by plumping up the skin. Most are very healthy and natural and contain ingredients such as oatmeal, avocado and honey, all of which are good for the skin, containing natural cleansers and moisturizers.

As a wrinkle treatment, you might also get a face massage which helps to tone the muscles underneath the skin and this too makes wrinkles seem less obvious. When your muscles are toned and tight, your skin will be too. Many salons and spas also have hydrators or steamers which can do wonders for removing impurities in the skin and this helps it look more radiant. Any one of these types of wrinkle treatment options are not just good for the skin but also feel very invigorating or relaxing.

You still have the option to get botox or go under the knife and of course this is a personal decision you have to make yourself. It is, however, a good idea to explore the other options and look carefully at them to make sure you know all about the possible side effects and you know how much or how little a beauty treatment can achieve.

Botox and plastic surgery are plausible options for wrinkle treatment, but they do not guarantee anything. Those who are let down are really let down, as they expect miracle results from such expensive treatments.

If you are looking at different wrinkle treatment options, you have a lot of options available, so you just need to do some comparison shopping to make sure you make a good choice.

Feng Shui History ” Separating Fact from Fiction

by Kyle Richey

When learning about the ancient art of feng shui, many people are interested in the real story behind it, in other words, true feng shui history and not just legend or hearsay. Its a good idea to investigate this, because unfortunately, when feng shui tradition began to be introduced to the western culture, a lot of misconception and out-and-out untruths began to be mixed in with the real practice.

Feng Shui History in Ancient China

The Asian cultures always seem to have placed a great deal of importance on harmony, balance, and peace. In Japan, Zen masters taught that simplicity and hard work were the key. In China, they firmly believed that one needed to respect ones surroundings in order to be at peace.

Feng shui history includes stories of how Chinese experts believed that the earth resonated a strong energy that should be welcomed into ones home, and that certain practices fought against this energy, bringing disruption and chaos.

Therefore, the Chinese believed that they could arrange their buildings and even furniture and other accessories so as to best respect this energy, thus bringing harmony and balance into one's life.

Feng Shui Arrives in the West

Stories about feng shui history become a bit muddled when the practice was introduced to western cultures; no doubt because there were many unscrupulous persons who realized that they could make a fast buck on the unsuspecting westerners who were unfamiliar with this art.

In addition, many New Age elements had begun to be introduced and were confused as being part of feng shui history. In reality, though, these New Age elements have nothing to do with what is true feng shui. For example, crystals, star shaped mirrors, red front doors and other elements are all among these New Age non-feng shui elements.

Some have claimed that this practice can heal ones physical ailments, bring wealth and prosperity, and several other fantastic claims. None of these statements are found in true feng shui history, as those who practiced it never made such outlandish statements.

They do believe that feng shui, when used correctly, can add positive energy to your life. This energy can result in good things coming your way but feng shui was never meant to be a magic bullet to make health, wealth and luck yours instantly. If it could, everyone would be using it!

Understanding Real Feng Shui History

If you have a true interest in the art and science of feng shui, its important to really know its history, otherwise you too could fall prey to one of these so-called experts that is not telling you the truth about its real application and use.

Real feng shui history is about harmony, balance, order, and positive energy. Any stories you hear that dont include these elements are probably just folklore and should be ignored. Once you understand the real truth behind this art form, then you will be better equipped to really use and appreciate true feng shui in your own home and your own life.

Facts and Fiction About Acne Cures

by Kyle Richey

Many people have a poor understanding of the way facial blemishes and acne skin care work. Unfortunately, this means that their acne doesn't get treated correctly, and they can even end up doing damage to their skin. That means some acne treatments actually make the condition worse.

The good news is that acne skin care is not that difficult, if you know the real truth about what causes this skin condition and what you can do about it.

The cause of acne is pretty much well known by now. Dirt, oil, and other irritants settle in the pores and cause this irritation or eruption that we call a pimple or acne. This dirt can be from everyday pollutants and elements in the air; our skin exists to protect our innards from dirt so that's why it settles there in the first place.

If you live in an environment where your skin will become dirty often, or where the air has a high concentration of pollutants, good acne skin care is vital. Workplaces like a manufacturing facility or landscaping jobs can also be a source of dirt. Anywhere that has a lot of airborne dust or other irritants can be a problem.

If this sounds like you and you notice that your skin is especially dirty at the end of the day, acne skin care is going to be important to you.

Oil in our pores is mostly from a natural source - our skin produces it to stay supple and healthy. We all have oil on our skin, even though acne skin care is mostly associated with teens. While younger people often produce more oil because of hormonal effects, adults can suffer from this problem, too. Acne skin care doesn't stop just because you're older.

Many people make the mistake of stripping their skin with harsh cleansers. They believe that since dirt and oil cause their breakouts, removing these substances totally is the best idea.

However, too much of a good thing can cause problems as well! When we use very harsh products or are rough with our skin, this is not good acne skin care as we can very well be irritating our skin into producing even more oil.

Not all acne conditions can be attributed to dirt and oil. Some of them result out of harsh skin care products like hair dyes and cosmetics. It is; therefore, better to use mild natural products as far as possible for proper skin care.

Even using a new product can cause some people's skin to break out. To avoid this problem, look for gentle acne skin care products for both cleansing and moisturizing.

The Real Truth About Feng Shui Crystals

by Kyle Richey

Do you remember finding out that Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy didn't exist? You might have been disappointed at the time but looking back as an adult I am sure you can laugh about those things now. Doesn't it seem a bit silly to have believed in them before?

You may be in for another upset if you have been using crystals that you thought were fung shui. In the world of true feng shui, there are no crystals.

When Chinese feng shui was introduced to the western world, it became intermingled with various New Age thinking and beliefs. This adulterated the true art and science of feng shui. Plenty of unscrupulous people decided to jump on the bandwagon, using the popularity of this new art and science and started slapping feng shui labels on pretty much any product for a quick sale. This is how feng shui candles were born, feng shui ornaments and feng shui crystals, when in fact there is no such thing! People in the west did not know enough about this eastern science to realize it was a hoax.

Do not get too upset just yet. After all, you are grown now and the disappointment about Santa is over, right? Perhaps a little about the valid use of feng shui and its history will help you to look at this logically.

The Original Feng Shui Art

Feng shui is not a hard art to follow. Since many people do not totally understand it, they assume it is harder than it is. An expert is not needed to explain in detail how to use feng shui. Due to so many people believing that you do need a reader, wrong information has been added to this ancient art. Among these is the use of crystals.

Feng shui is all about peace, balance, positive energy and harmony. There is no talisman or magic bullet that can bring these things into your life. For example, if your spouse won't talk to you or if you are having a secret affair, all the crystals in the world won't magically bring your marriage back to its former health. You might hang a hundred feng shui crystals all over your bedroom mirror but your relationship will still contain much chaos and disharmony as before.

Cleaning up your home and your personal life will be what is needed to make feng shui work for you. Clutter has to be removed in order for feng shui to work. Having old things laying around that you never use will enhance the negative and keep the positive from entering. Sometimes the negative seems to take over however it you declutter and concentrate on the good, the negative will disappear.

When Feng Shui Crystals Can Be Useful

Some people just like the way crystals look. These might be natural crystal wands, tumbled and polished crystals or ornaments featuring crystals. They reflect the light and can add brightness to a dark room or corner. If you like crystal ornaments because of this or you like to look at the crystal hanging from your rearview mirror, then keep it. There is nothing in the feng shui principles that recommends you not to have it.

Why Use an Anti Wrinkle Cream?

by Kyle Richey

You might know someone of a particular age that claims to have never used an anti wrinkle cream, despite the fact that she has beautiful and radiant skin. She may be telling the truth; some people just have the genes needed for wonderful and beautiful skin.

Instead of being jealous, it's time to think about the benefits an anti wrinkle cream could have, if you haven't been blessed by genetics.

The skin is meant to bounce back and recuperate, and repair itself from anything we do to it, but unfortunately over time it loses much of its own elasticity. When this happens, we become more prone to wrinkles and lines. Every time we smile or frown, that movement of the skin becomes like a crease that won't even out.

Good anti wrinkle creams can help make up for the loss of elasticity by adding moisture, vitamins, and other useful substances to our skin. This helps it stay supple and soft, removing the chances of fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging.

Anti wrinkle cream also protects us from further damage. We're often exposed to the damaging rays of the sun, harsh weather, pollutants such as cigarette smoke and car exhaust, as well as lots more. These are bad for our skin in the long run.

While a daytime anti wrinkle cream will do wonders to protect our skin from the elements and pollutants we are exposed to daily. A nighttime anti wrinkle cream will restore our damaged skin.

The most important thing the human body needs is the one thing we neglect to give it enough of, water! Dehydration causes the body to age quicker and it is most commonly seen on the skin first.

While there is no excuse not to take care of our bodies and keep them hydrated we can help our skin out with an anti wrinkle cream to add extra moisture it's missing by not keeping ourselves properly hydrated.

And of course there are very few people that are not at risk for getting wrinkles no matter what their genes are like and what they're skincare regimen is like as well. It's good for anyone that wants younger looking skin to use an anti wrinkle cream, as early as possible and as often as possible.

Old age strikes everyone eventually, but it doesn't have to do a lot of damage. To reduce the effects of time and your environment, consider using a quality anti wrinkle cream.

Anti wrinkle cream is not just for your face but your hands can benefits from a daily dose of cream as well. Your hands are the second most common part of your body to show signs of aging. You use them everyday do perform multiple tasks, they too are exposed to the sun and harsh weather. Be kind to your hands and rub a little anti wrinkle cream on them daily too.
